Deer Farm Excursion Tour
A 3-Hour Bus Excursion for All Ages
Digger Adventures is pleased to announce our newest year-round adventure, our Deer Farm Excursion Tour! We invite guests of all ages to join us on this exciting 3-hour tour in our comfortable 14-seat minibus. We will pick you up and take you on a ride through the scenic West Virginia countryside to a working deer farm.
Pet, Hand Feed, and Take Photos with Baby Fawns and Deer
You will be personally escorted to Briar Meadow Whitetails Deer Farm in Parsons, WV, where you will have the opportunity to admire, take photos with, pet, and hand-feed peanuts to the deer! If we get lucky, some little fawns may require a bottle-feed during our visit. This part of the tour is a favorite for kids of all ages from 0-100!
Deer Encounter – The Whitetail Experience
Briar Meadow Whitetails Deer Farm runs a breeding program on-site. Both breeder bucks and replacement does can be observed. Special care is provided for the deer here, which leads them to be well-socialized and happy. They love your attention! However, please keep in mind that they are not professionally trained. We are pleased to offer our guests the opportunity for their own Deer Encounter. The Whitetail Experience is the unique opportunity to interact with, and make a connection to, the magnificent whitetail deer of the deep woods on a personal, one-on-one basis. We are confident that you will enjoy it as much as we do!
The fine folks that operate the farm, Jay and George Wilfong along with Murray & Vickie Hedrick/Lawrence, will be on-hand to answer any questions that you may have about their wonderful deer herd.

Notice: Please dress appropriately for the weather (and potentially wet ground) for your Deer Farm tour. We will explore this property on foot. We suggest that you wear comfortable closed toe footwear (such as boots), layered clothing, seasonal jackets, umbrellas and rain gear, etc., as appropriate.
Peanut Allergy Notice: The Digger Adventures bus regularly has some contact with peanuts, as our tour guests feed them to the deer at the Briar Meadow Whitetail Deer Farm during the Deer Farm Tour.
